Elsie Buschelmann Obituary

Elsie Buschelmann passed away January 19, 2003 in an Alice nursing home. She was 93. Mrs. Buschelmann was born January 3, 1910 in Gonzalez, Texas to Alex and Abina Wostal. She was a member of Faith UCC Church in Orange Grove, she was formerly very active in the church. Mrs. Buschelmann was also formerly active in the PTA, the Orange Grove Band Boosters, she enjoyed Dominoes and crossword puzzles. Mrs. Buschelmann was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Buschelmann, one daughter, Lou Ella Hinze, by a grandson, Jeffery Gwosdz and by two sisters and one brother. Survivors include two daughters, Mae(Marvin)Gwosdz of Orange Grove and Nell (James) Gwosdz of Sandia; one sister, Esther Hillmer of Orange Grove; one brother, Jake Wostal of Mathis; nine grandchildren, Marilyn Gwosdz, Maxine Gwosdz, Martin (Laura) Gwosdz, Johnny Gwosdz, Joe (Terri) Gwosdz, Julie (Joel) Morris, Jonathan (Dana) Hinze, Nathan (Gretchen) Hinze, and Michael Scott (Stacy) Hinze; 8 great grandchildren, Heather Garcia, Greg Cawyer, Courtney and Colby Morris, Tyler and Wesley Gwosdz and Morgan and Amanda Gwosdz; 3 great great grandchildren, Caleb and Trace Cawyer and Cody Garcia. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice, with a Prayer Service conducted at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at the Faith United Church of Christ in Orange Grove. Burial will follow in the Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove.
