George H. PledgerCorpus Christi, TXGeorge H. Pledger, 82 of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away April 4, 2013. He was born in Bee Branch Arkansas on August 30, 1930.He graduated from Southside High School and received a bachelor's degree from Harding Christian University. He had a career in Ministry for 63 years with the last 46 years at Weber Road Church of Christ.George was married to his wife Evelyn for 60 years. George Pledger had a passion for preaching God's word, he loved his family, church family, and community. He is preceded in death by his son Michael Pledger. He is survived by his children: Mark Pledger and Melanie (Bruce) Jones; Grandchildren: Jonathan Pledger, Jene Pledger, Jamie Pledger, Rachel (Caleb) Archer, Audrey (Andrew) Hicks, and Kayce Jones.Viewing will be held on Tuesday April 9, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Weber Road Church of Christ, Weber Road, with the funeral service following at 11:00 A.M.
