Gloria Jimenez Obituary

Gloria Jimenez passed away peacefully on November 11, 2004. Gloria was a loving wife and mother, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.Gloria, a Corpus Christi native, graduated from Texas A&I Kingsville in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and married Joseph Jimenez December 30, 1972. Gloria and Joseph lived in San Francisco from 1972 where she worked in the outpatient clinic at UCSF before returning to Corpus Christi in 1979.Gloria was an active member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the United Married Couples Club and the Nueces County Medical Auxiliary.She was preceded in death by her parents Cristobal and Sylvia Carabajal. Gloria is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dr. Joseph Jimenez of Corpus Christi, Texas; sons, Robert (Erin) Jimenez of Dallas, Texas and Andy Jimenez of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister, Nelda (Maurice) Vanderham of Orlando, Florida.Visitations will be held Sunday, November 14, 2004 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2004 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 5830 Williams Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Lone Star Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (1-800-Fight MS) or the National Leukemia Society.
