Horacio Simplicio Barrera

Horacio Simplicio Barrera, of Premont passed away on October 6, 2004 at the age of 21. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Alfredo C. Salinas of Ramirez, Texas and maternal aunt Graciela Ramos of Corpus Christi, Texas. Survivors include his parents, Humberto and Carmen S. Barrera of Premont; One sister Stephanie Jade (Jose) Falcon of Canyon Lake, Texas. Paternal grandparents Heberto (Beto) and Hilda P. Barrera of Premont. Maternal grandmother, Estefanita G. Salinas of Corpus Christi, Texas. Two uncles Herbert (Elma) Barrera, Jr. and Hector (Diana) Barrera both of Premont, Texas. Five aunts Linda Barrera, of Premont, Joni B. (Baldemar) Ramirez of San Antonio, Texas, Sylvia (Joe) Mitchell and Celina De Leon of Corpus Christi, Texas and Dora (Joe Jr.) Montemayor of Alice, Texas. His beloved niece and nephew Arissa Jiana and Jose Tres (JT) Falcon of Canyon Lake, Texas and numerous cousins that loved him dearly. Horacio was a 2001 graduate of Premont High School where he participated in football and baseball and was also a member of the Premont FFA. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00pm on Friday, October 8, 2004 at Alaniz Funeral Home.Rosary will be held on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 7:30pm at the St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 9, 2004 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont.Burial will follow at the Premont Cemetery in Premont, Texas.
