"I am a Driscoll Child"
At the age of 11 I was diagnosed with a mitral valve prolapse - heart murmur (floppy mitral valve) and was referred to Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi....for the next 14 years I was under the very specialized care of Dr. Simpson...he was with me in the delivery room of my first born child (due to a high risk pregnancy) ....
Prayers continued for family comfort

Hi I was his patient for a long time since age 4 probably until I turned 18. I haven´t seen him for a while until I saw him again. I last saw him when I took my son when he was a baby to see him for a check up because my son have a heart murmur. He was surprised to see me with a baby and he was happy for me. He mentioned me that he was retiring and that he won´t no longer work at Discroll children´s hospital. But I asked him for a last hug and I thanked him for all the service he gave me and for taking care of my heart. He was a sweet doctor that I can remember him playing around with me when I was a child and other children´s as well. As growing up, I would see him getting old. But very handsome and so sweet. He never changed. He´s always the same sweet person, entertaining children´s to let him listen their heart. I would sometimes catch him playing with infants or children when the nurses open the door and I would get to see him playing with them. I would always smile and melts my heart seeing him how he loves them. I´m so sorry to hear my Dr. Simpson past away. I find out with the nurse that has work with him for the longest time. I´m sorry I can´t remember her name. But she was very sweet person. She had told me about it and I felt so sad. My deepest condolence to Dr. Simpsons family. I know I´m very late. But I was just thinking about him and I had to Google up because I couldn´t remember his first name until I found on the site on legacy.com. And all this because I was looking through tik tok and saw a Doctor name Dr. Terry Simpson and that´s how My Dr. James Simpson came through my mind. I think it was a sign to come here. Who knows but I´m glad I came here to share a story of my sweet Doctor. May Dr. Simpson RIP. I cherish the memories of him. I always have him in my heart and my thought. Because every time I go see my cardiologist. He comes to my mind. Well I hope who ever read this story. Just wanted to say God Bless You. My doctor was the best doctor I ever had.
