John Kovaric Obituary

John J. Kovaric Corpus Christi , TXJohn J. Kovaric, age 90, passed away on January 8, 2016. He was born on October 13, 1925 to Anthony and Antoinette Kovaric in Johnson City, New York but was raised in Gloversville, New York. John graduated from Colgate College in 1947. He served in the US Army as an Army Med Corp from 1948 to 1970, in Korea and Vietnam through the ranks to colonel, earning a bronze star and legion of merit. John was a general surgeon from 1970 to 2005. He was a loving father to Phil, Bill and Kit. Jack enjoyed participation in raising thoroughbred horses, traveling through the western USA, western art and serving at St. Pius X Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his dedication to his patient's live and family.Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission of Mercy, 719 Shoreline Suite # 103 Corpus Christi, Texas 78401 (www.amissionofmercy.org). To view tribute, please visit www.seasidefuneral.com.
