Kenneth Leslie Morgan

Corpus Christi - Kenneth Leslie "Poppy" Morgan of Corpus Christi, TX peacefully met his Savior on June 29, 2021. Ken was born February 9, 1938 in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England to Ivy (Davis) and Alfred Morgan. He immigrated to Texas in 1945 with Ivy and Henry Ondrej. He attended Roy Miller High School, Corpus Christi. Ken served 3 years in the Air Force and retired from Corpus Christi Army Depot in 1993. Poppy was kind hearted and his passions were his faith, family, friends, Norton Motorcycles, and his sports teams, both local (Corpus Christi Ice Rays and CC Hooks), and national (Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros and Texas Rangers).

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elizabeth (Beth) Morgan, sister and brother-in-law Janet Corner (Tom). He is survived and will be sorely missed by his children, Ernest Morgan (Jamie) of Orange Grove, TX and Suzanne Culp (Jason Nieuwets) of Windsor, Ontario Canada, his grandchildren Lauren Pringle (Mike), Brennan, Braeden, and Bryson Culp, Josiah and Joshua Morgan and great grandchildren Ivy, Evan and Nolan Pringle, whom he loved with all his heart.

Ken recently connected with and hoped to meet his paternal half-sisters Anita, Roberta, Lesley and Lynda in England. Ken's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Christus Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Shoreline, Alameda Oaks Nursing Center, and New Century Hospice.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
