Lorenza Flores Hernandez

Lorenza Flores Hernandez, a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away July 4, 2006 at the age of 85. She was born in Runge, Texas on Aug. 10, 1921.She is preceded in death by her husband, Augustin G. Hernandez; her parents, Cosme Flores, and Teodoro and Rita Ortiz.She was a hardworking woman, dedicating her life to her work and her family; always willing to make any sacrifice for any of her children. She was a member of Glory Full Gospel Church, where she faithfully attended services. She was a foster parent for over 25 years and worked with the Corpus Christi Independent School District for over 15 years.She is survived by: a sister, Flor Estella Luna, from Houston, Texas; two daughters,Palmira Frame and Lydia Jackson, both from Corpus Christi, Texas; and two sons, Richard F. (Elena) Hernandez, and Raul (Leticia) Hernandez, both from Corpus Christi, Texas. Grandchildren include: Larry (Yolanda) Serrata, Linda Kierych, Lydia (James) Galindo, Lee Serrata, Lonnie Serrata, Laura Foster; Alfred Hernandez Jr., Liz Chapa, Clara (Adam) Muguerza; Denise Tefs, Senior Airman Johnny (Leslie) Fernandez, Cathy (Shane) Steel, Richard A. Hernandez; 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home as follows: Visitation will be held Thursday July 6, 2006 from 9am to 9pm.Prayer Service will be held Friday, July 7, 2006 at 7:00 PM with Funeral Services to be held Saturday July 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
