Manuela V. LunaCorpus Christi, TXManuela V. Luna, 87, passed away on December 26, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on August 6, 1927 in Taft, Texas to Felipe Vasquez and Cecilia Martinez. Manuela is preceded in death by both her parents, her sister, Alicia and aunt Nela.She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of 55 years, Samuel Luna Sr., her son, Samuel Luna Jr., and his wife Pilar Luna, one grandson, Samuel Luna III and numerous family members from Taft, Texas and the Valley.Manuela was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church for many years and she worked for C.C.I.S.D. for 20 years as a cafeteria worker. The family would like to give a special thanks to Orion Health Services, Del Cielo Home Health Services and Heritage Memorial Funeral Home for all their time and efforts.Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ the King Catholic Church with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
