Mary E. Cuencas

A Godly life ended February 21,2003, when our mother, Ms. Mary E. Cuencas was taken from us. We know she is at rest with our Heavenly Father who took her to be with him, where there is no more pain and burden of a tear. Along with being a loving and devoted sister, mother, and grandmother, she dedicated over 30 years with AT&T Telephone Company until retiring December 31,2002. She was born August 23,1946 to the late Benjamin H. Ford, Jr. and Prim Rose Knox in Corpus Christi, Texas. She left behind to cherish precious memories: two sons, Rodney Cross, Sr., John Cuencas Jr.; two daughters, Carol Cuencas, Jackie Cross; one daughter-in-law Valensa Cross, all of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Benjamin H. Ford III, Corpus Christ, Texas; six grandchildren; and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Corpus Christi Funeral Home on Thursday, February 27, 2003 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at First Calvary Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Wake Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Service will be held at First Calvary Baptist Church on Friday, February 28, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
