Matthew Joel TerhuneSinton, TXMatthew Joel Terhune was born September 10, 1976, in Houston, Texas to David and Patricia (Golden) Terhune. He passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 27, 2016, surrounded by family.He graduated from Klein High School in Spring, Texas, and proudly graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor degree in Meteorology. His first Meteorology job was in Waco, before coming to KRIS TV here in Corpus Christi in March, 2001. His greatest joys were being a husband, father, weatherman, and eating at Whataburger. Matt never gave up striving to live as one the happiest people, despite his cancer. He seemed to approach every day with the thought, 'Today I will choose joy'.He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle; children, Nathan and Madeline; his parents, David and Patricia; his sister, Michelle (Brian) Burtis; as well as his niece and many other friends and family.Memorial services will be conducted at Noon Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at River Hills Baptist Church with Brother Bill Simmons officiating.In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to River Hills Baptist Church, to sponsor children to attend church camps, P.
