Olivia Ramirez Obituary

Olivia G. Ramirez, 93, a Catholic daughter was called to be with her Heavenly Father on November 7, 2006. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Olivia was a loving mother of three children, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She goes home to the Lord to reunite with her parents, Theodoro Gonzalez and Refugia Serna Gonzalez, her husband of 55 years, Aguilardo Ramirez, and a daughter Sylvia R. Adenauer. The family she leaves to cherish her memories are a daughter, Olga R. Pompa and a son, George Ramirez of Corpus Christi, Texas. Her grandchildren include, Shirley Garza, Patsy (Israel) Cavazos, Chuck (Dora) Pompa, Linda (Juan) Villarreal, Shelly Pompa, Kristina (Roy) Canales, Danny (Esmer) Pompa, all from Corpus Christi, Texas, Carola Adenauer Tashman from California and Nicole Adenauer from Florida. Olivia was a homemaker most of her life and helped with the family business when they resided in Lubbock, Texas. She and her husband brought to Lubbock and surrounding towns, one of the first Mexican bakeries, Mexican restaurant, and the Taco Village tortilla factory. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, Thursday, November 9, 2006 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass celebrating Olivia's life will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 10, 2006 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with burial following at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery.
