Pablo Charles, Jr., 86, was called home to be with our Lord on January 11, 2018. He was born on January 15, 1931 in Duval County, Texas to Pablo and Modesta Charles. He was a long life resident of Robstown, Texas. Pablo worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 35 years and was retired for 24 years. He was a true hard working family man that always put the needs of his family before his own. He was a firm believer in "a man is worth his word." He enjoyed fishing but he loved hunting and spending time at the ranch, where he dedicated his weekends for many years. Pablo was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Silveria; his brothers, Lauro, Noe, Dionicio and Juventino; his grandchild, Joe Charles, Jr., and his great-granddaughter, Makayla Marie Charles.
He is survived by his wife of 66 1/2 years, Maria Luisa; his children, Paul, III (Esperanza), Albert (Esmeralda), Joe (Udelia), Janet (Mauro Salazar), Elizabeth (Michael) Estrada, Daisy Ann and Evelyn Marie. He was also blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 5pm to 9pm & Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 10am to 9pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm that day at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
