Patsy Parmer Obituary

Patsy J. Parmer was born November 29th in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Walter Lee Jr. and Addie Rae Parmer. She was called to the garden of rest on February 2, 2003. During her childhood years she became a member of Brooks Chapel under the Pastorate of the late Rev. L. H. McCloney. She graduated from Moody High School and later received an Associate Degree in Education from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 21 years. Patsy traveled exPatsy J. Parmer, 53, passed away on February 2, 2003. Visitation will be held at Corpus Christi Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6, 2003 from 11:30 to 9:00 p.m. A Wake Service will be held that same evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Brooks Chapel A.M.E. on Friday, February 7, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.tensively throughout her life going to new places and visiting old friends. She shared a great love for children and later became employed at the Corpus Christi Independent School District where she worked for 14 years as a Para-Professional at the Teenage Mothers School (TAMS). Patsy had a concerned for her community and became affiliated with the Weed and Seed Program where she served for four years. Patsy was an active member at Brooks Chapel on the Steward Board, Finance Committee and a Class Leader who worked diligently and untiringly for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was faithfully involved in all areas of church growth. She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Addie Rae; three sisters: Margaret Sue Lamkin, San Antonio, Texas; Mary Parmer, Corpus Christi, Rosa Lee Jackson, Corpus Christi; one brother, Willie (Maria) Greenwood, Austin, Texas; one uncle, Roy Lamkin, Corpus Christi; Special Brother Robert (Hazel) Johnson, Sarasota, Florida; Special Sister, Freddie Mae Jackson, San Jose, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Corpus Christi Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6, 2003 from 11:30 to 9:00 p.m. A Wake Service will be held that same evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Brooks Chapel A.M.E. on Friday, February 7, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
