Robert Luis DavilaRobstown, TXRobert Luis Davila, 89, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 8, 2013. He was born on February 16, 1924 to Luis and Soledad Hoffay Davila in Bishop, Texas. Robert was employed with Corn Products for 32 years until finally reaching his retirement. He was a Catholic and resided most of his life in Robstown. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.He goes home to reunite with his parents, sisters, and his wife, Esperanza Salazar Davila who preceded him in death. He is survived by his six children, Evangelina Davila Chapa of Corpus Christi, Texas, Laura D. Davila of San Antonio, Texas, Robert Davila, Jr. of Robstown, Texas, Tomas Davila of Corpus Christi, Texas, Celia Davila of San Antonio, Texas, and Victor Davila of Robstown, Texas. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a special niece, Elizabeth Cervantes, as well as, many other relatives and friends who loved him dearly. A rosary will be recited at 7pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
