Ruth Bartosh Obituary
Ruth Louise Bartosh joined her deceased husband, Bill, in their heavenly home June 8, 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona. Ruth was born March 15, 1922 in Wauwatosa, WI to Walter and Ruth (Bernatz) Ziegler. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church in Corpus Christi, July 19, 2008 at 1:00 pm. Ruth married Bill August 27, 1949 while he was attending Marquette University Dental School. In the summer of 1951, they moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. As Bill began his career in dentistry, Ruth stayed home to raise their four children who were her pride and joy. In 1982 they moved to their house on lake Mathis. Mom was a very skilled seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her family. She also took pride in building and decorating large doll houses with miniature items. In addition, she was an excellent gardener and enjoyed many hours caring for her yard. We children will always remember our retreats to their house as special times away from the stress of the world. We especially looked forward to our Thanksgiving dinners. They were also blessed with many special friendships that developed over the years. Ruth is survived by her brothers, Walter Ziegler and wife Virginia of West Allis, Wisconsin, Dr. Charles Ziegler and wife Inge of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, John Ziegler and wife Pat of Sussex, Wisconsin, and Bill Ziegler and friend Trudy of Waukesha, Wisconsin; sons Dr. Mark Bartosh of Houston, Texas, Dr. Bill Bartosh and wife Anna of San Angelo, Texas, daughters Michelle and husband Mike Kekich of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Liz and husband John Bartram of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren Tina and husband Ken Goodrow, Mark Bartosh Jr., Pieter Bartosh and wife Freya, Tim Bartosh, Nick Bartosh and wife Nicole, Natalie and husband Andy Martinkus, Nicole Kekich, and Rachel Vaillancourt; great grandchild Samuel Goodrow. A special thanks is given to our sister, Liz, who was closest to mom and spent many caring hours with her during her remaining years of life in Phoenix.
