Ruth Hailey Obituary

Ruth W. Hailey passed away on Friday, May 27, 2005 at the age of 89, in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Hailey was born June 7, 1915, in Navasota, Texas. In 1949 she married Mr. J.I. Hailey in Corpus Christi, Texas. Soon after marrying, they resided on their ranch near George West and were active members of their community for more that 20 years. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband in 1981 at which time she moved to Houston to be close to her family. During this time she enjoyed extensive travel and making countless new friends. Ruth will be forever remembered for her kindness, caring, and generosity to all who knew her. She is survived by her family, Dr. James M. Stephen and wife Irmgard; Harvey Phillips and wife Mary. "Aunt Ruth" is additionally survived by multiple nephews and nieces; Dr. J. Robert (Bobby) Stephen, wife Donna and children Ryan and Grant; Mark Stephen, wife Shelly and children Amber, Ashley, Amanda and Austin; Sonja Stephen, Eric Stephen, wife Lynly and children Allison and Taylor; as well as numerous other family members and loving friends.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2005, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Klein Funeral Home Champion Forest Dr., in Spring, Texas.Graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m., at Seaside Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice.Mrs. Hailey was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas.Arrangements are entrusted to:Klein Funeral Home 16131 Champion Forest Dr. Klein, TX 77379
