SHAWRuth Bernell Shaw, age 82, passed away on January 12, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas.Ruth was born on October 12, 1927 in Brackenridge, Texas to Paul H. and Eva C. Shipley. She graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1945. She was a bookkeeper for First State Bank for 12 years. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Jane Viola Brooner.She is survived by her husband Jack Shaw; her daughter Sharon Elizabeth Amaya; a grandson Robert Bryan Amaya; niece Cynthia Lynn McMahon and a nephew Peter Ryan Brooner; great niece Jamie Saenz; great nephews Jason & Joey McMahon, Matthew Brooner; numerous great great nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Seaside Funeral Home.A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at First Baptist Church.Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.To view guestbook, share memories and leave condolences, please visit www.seasidefuneral.com
