William Everts Flint

FLINT William Everts Flint, 101, passed away peacefully at home on July 28, 2010. Mr. Flint was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, spending most of his adulthood in Corpus Christi, Texas and Denver, Colorado. On July 7, 1935, he married Bobbie Lee Odom of Corsicana, Texas. Bill and Bobbie Flint were happily married for seventy-one years. A chemical engineer by training, Bill had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned several sales oriented businesses. He was very involved in the Eastern Star and a member of Southside Community Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Lee Mentgen of Arvada, Colorado and his beloved wife, Bobbie Lee Flint.He is survived by his daughter, Jean M. Cotton (Johnny) and son, Donald D. Flint (Wendy), seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2010 at Southside Community Church, 3346 Airline Road with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
