Judith Elaine Hughes (Fahnholz) Warren, 81, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on September 19, 2021. She was born on November 12, 1939 to Clinton and Marguerite (Ford) Hughes in Wichita, KS. Judy married (Frank) Jerry Fahnholz in 1957. They raised three children and divorced after 21 years. Judy always wanted to live in Colorado and moved to Grand Junction in 1979. Judy was married to Larry Warren in 1982 and lived her later years in Canon City, Colorado. There she worked as an office manager for Lasting Impressions and then as a realtor before retiring. She loved Colorado and the Canon City area where she lived until the time of Larry's passing. Soon after she moved to Kansas to be closer to family. 'Outrageous Judy' was Larry's nickname for Mom. Her spirit was outspoken, unpredictable, direct, and hilarious. Her grandkids loved her unique wisdom and referred to her knowledge as 'grandma-ism's'. She called it as she saw it and didn't hold back. Loyal and fiercely protective to those she loved. Whether you called her mom, wife, grandma, or friend, Judy was one of a kind to us all. Judy is survived by her loving children, Tammy Leslie, Kent (Georgia) Fahnholz, Kurt (Rebecca) Fahnholz, her grandchildren Tyler Westerman, Cory Westerman, Will Leslie, Keaton Fahnholz, Haley Fahnholz, Tyler Kieny, Gavin Smoke, brother Rex (Jeannie) Hughes, sisters Karon Dyer and Sharon (Mike) Jette, 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her constant furry companion, Allie. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Private services will be held at a later date. To leave a message for the family, visit www.Penwellgabelkc.com
