Alyce Malone Obituary

Alyce L. Malone
Alyce L. Malone, age 94, of Canton, left this world, on Tuesday February 5, 2008. She was born in Dayton, OH, on June 17, 1913 to the late Park and Catherine Houghton. Alyce was employed as a registered nurse at Mercy Medical Center for many years and also spent time in the Nursing Corps in the United States Army during WWII. She was past President of the Massillon Women's Club and the Women in Construction. She was also a co-owner of Malone Testing Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Gano; her second husband, James Malone; a son, Charles Malone and two grandchildren, Gerald and James Gano. Survivors include two daughters, Pat Knepper and Carol (Tony) Petitti; three sons, Richard (Marlene) Gano, Jim (Darlene) Malone and John Gano; granddaughter, Jacqueline McBride; grandson Richard Gano Jr.; and numerous other grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at 12 noon in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Pastor Mark Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service on Friday from 11 a.m.-12 noon in the funeral home.
