Through our growing up years, I lived in the second house from Chuck. We often played together with other kids from the neighborhood after school. We attended church and sang in the choir together. They were good years. When dad died tragically in 1963, Chuck came to our house to comfort us. Through the years it was always good to see him at class reunions. He had great joy in bringing light-hearted humor to others. I miss him.
In the great losses in my life, God has comforted my heart with Jesus' words in John 14, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms...I am going there to prepare a place for you...that you also may be where I am." Faith in Jesus is the way! See verses 6 and 12 to 14.
