Of Whitehouse, Ohio, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother passed
away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. The middle child of seven, he faced life with a perpetual smile and a relentless curiosity. An avid fan of people, books, cars, gadgets, and technology, he applied his keen intelligence and wit to everything he touched. One of four brothers, he hummed with an energy that never subsided.
The power of a love that began in the third grade shaped his life, and his lovely Rose was always and ever the only woman for him. As a father to children Tiffany and Seth, he modeled gentle constancy, involvement, and a deep and guiding love. Dan's joyful generosity of spirit earned him countless friends in business and the world. He was a man of honor, integrity, and great faith, attentive to the people and things that mattered, and appreciative of the great blessing of his family. His illuminated life shines a light into the deep shadows left by his passing.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 30th., after 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio, followed by the funeral mass at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee, Ohio, or St. Vincent de Paul Society. I sure miss crazy Dan. I have many memories of Dan and one was when we worked at the Electronics center I took him and some other guys water skiing. I can still picture Dan wanting to go as fast as possible to do an impressive "wipe out". I also remember buying an ugly '69 Volvo from Dan or one of his brothers while I was in college.
It was ugly but fun :)

My wife & I wanted to express our deepest sympathy to your entire family on the tragic loss of Danny. It's very hard to grasp the death of someone that you haven't seen in so many years but remember the past with them so well. Knowing the Zaleski family as kids were such special times. Uncle Edgell & Aunt Mary Ellen and all their family were very special growing up. We had a lot of fun back then. All of their children grew up to be very talented & intelligent with great personalities. I will always remember Danny for the fun person he was. He once told me he was different from the rest of the family & I guess that made him happy living life the way he saw it. I'm sure he loved his wife & his family with that same caring and understanding smile that I will forever miss. Even though the years between have been many, I'll never forget what a special cousin he was & how much I will miss him and the fun times we had back in the day when it was all good.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I worked with Dan at Romich Beery and Bayer many years ago. Dan was always smiling and laughing and you couldn't help but do the same when you were around him. I'm sure he'll be missed greatly.Please let me know how I can pray for you.

So sorry to hear about Dan. We went to high school at the same time and worked together at Gerstenslagers in Wooster. He helped me quite a bit when I started working there and I always appreciated what he did for me. He was a great guy and he will be missed

To my cousins and especially my Aunt Mary and Uncle Ed, what a shock! Such a loss. I have always been so proud to talk about my family and how big it is and how we all love each other, whether we live close or far. I will always remember Danny with a smile on his face...because he ALWAYS had a smile on his face. His love for his wife Rose and their beautiful children Tiffany and Seth was evident just by being around him and hearing him talk about them or in the way he looked at them. In todays world that love is sadly not often seen. To all his brothers and sisters and their families, Aunt Mary and Uncle Ed, my heart is breaking for you as I know the strength of the love you have for each other. Use that love and your memories to sustain you through this rough time ahead. Time will heal the pain, but you will never forget Danny, as you shouldn't. We should all take comfort in the fact that we know he is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven where we will all meet again.

To my cousins, I was saddened by the news of Danny's passing. I remember all of our family get togethers, especially on Christmas Eve. You have my deepest sympathy during this very difficult time.
