'Together Again'
Duane B. Schaefer
Age 81, of East Canton died in his home Friday, Dec. 2, 2011. Born July 12, 1930 in Minerva, Ohio. to the late Philip and Thelma (Cupples) Schaefer. He was a 1948 graduate of Minerva High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He was an East Canton resident for more than 50 years. Duane retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1992 after 26 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, U.A.W. #542 and the AARP.
Preceded in death by his wife, Erika T. Schaefer in 2008; two brothers, Val and Dick Schaefer. Survived by one daughter, Elke Geis of Massillon; one grandson, Aaron Geis of Baltimore, Md.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Shirley Schaefer of Akron, Lee and Ruth Schaefer of South Carolina, Jack and Agnes Schaefer of Minerva; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bob Vesco of Coshocton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 at 12 p.m. in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev Clark E. Kandel II officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 11–12 p.m.
