First Lady Elder Sharon Jordan Obituary
First Lady Elder Sharon L. Jordan, age 58, transitioned from this earthly realm to her heavenly home on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021. She was born Aug. 23, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio and she had resided in Canton for the past 28 years. She accepted Christ at the age of 8 years old and she was truly a woman after God's own heart. Lady Jordan was the wife of Dr. Richard L. Jordan, Sr. Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church of Canton, Ohio where she faithfully served in the ministry with him. She loved God, His Word, and all people. She was a past employee of The Timken Company, an author, and the Founder of her own company, The Wealthy Place, LLC. She earned a BA from Malone College and a MBA from Ashland University. She was a member of the Stark County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
She was preceded to glory by her father, Herbert Butler; her sister, Jennifer Gordon, and grandson, Phillip Rolland, Jr. She leaves to cherish all the precious moments: her husband, Dr. Richard L. Jordan; her four children, Larry (Christina) Jordan, James (Tonisha) Jordan, Reva (Steve) Franklin, all of Columbus; and Devin (Brandi) Jordan of Canton; seven grandchildren; her mother, Eva Butler of Columbus; siblings, Esther (Lewis) Drafton, Sr., Angela (Mitchell) Wafer, Serena Roberts, and James (Shelly) Butler, Jr.; sister-in-love, Maria Scott; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Antioch Baptist Church Family.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, Aug. 20, 2021 at Antioch Baptist Church, 1844 Ira Turpin Way NE, Canton, OH 44705. Calling hours are 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. The service will begin at 11 a.m. There will be an Omega Omega Service (Stark County Alumnae Chapter DST Inc.) beginning at 10:15 a.m.

I am just now hearing of Sharon's passing. What a sad event at such a young age. We worked together for a few years at the Timken Company. After I heard of this, I had a dream the following evening and Sharon was in it. She was absolutely radiant. My sincere condolences to her family members and friends.

Our hearts were saddened when we heard of the transition of Lady Jordan, but when we listened to the voice of the Holy Spirit, realizing she moved from this earthly home back to her original dwelling place it helped us and we pray for Rev.
