Freda Archer Obituary

Freda Cecelia (Schott) Archer 1925-2017
of Canton, Ohio, passed away April 11, 2017, at Aultman Hospital at the age of 91. Freda was born Oct. 10, 1925 in Caldwell, Ohio, to the late Rienhart and Philomena (Kullman) Schott. She worked as an LPN at Molly Stark Hospital for 30 years. Freda was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Harrisburg and was active in the church's Altar and Rosary Society and Senior Citizen Club. Freda enjoyed volunteering, gardening and playing cards but the most important thing in her life was spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, James of Louisville and Alan (Deborah) of Canton; four daughters: Patricia (Paul) Wilson of Florida, Nancy (John) Frank and Anita (Andrew) Pederzolli of Alliance, and Mary (John) Simon of Minnesota; 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Freda is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred A. Archer, who passed away in 1986; three sisters: Leona Kindler, Eva Helena Dowdy and Mary Louise Merry; and five brothers: Earl, Bernard, Omar, Robert and Ralph Schott.
Freda's family will receive friends Monday from 9-11 a.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. Her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Harrisburg, with Fr. Nicholas Mancini officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Right To Life or Sacred Heart of Mary Church.

To Nancy, John and the entire Schott family:

It's so hard to lose someone you love, and though words can't take away the sadness you feel, I want to tell you that I care very deeply about you and all that you're going through

Would love to see the Schott clan, but being in South Carolina, distance prevents me from attending.

In her daily walk with the Lord, Freda had so much faith & trust in her God. What a wonderful legacy to leave her family! When love has touched our lives, it remains forever in our hearts!

With deepest sympathy & prayers,

Dale Brahler

Freda held many of my childhood memories about growing up in Harrisburg and I loved talking to her about them. Especially dressing up in the nun costumes ! Every time I got into trouble ..she said she'd show that picture to my dad!! I was scared to death he would find out I had that nun costume on.. I'd be good for at least a couple days!!! My mom said Freda helped to deliver me and when Nancy Lou was born ..my mom helped her !! Good neighbors till the end! You're the only one who still called me Ruthann.I will miss that!.Love you Freda!
