Dear Aunt June and family--
One of my earliest memories is of Uncle Guy and a trip our family made to Ohio in about 1961. The boys had noisy go-carts that I loved, and they kindly agreed to take their little cousin on lap after lap around their track (probably prodded by their dad).

I'm so sorry to hear of Uncle Guy's passing. May you draw comfort and peace from your many years of memories.

Dear June and Boys,

I am so sorry I could not make it to the funeral, but Uncle Guy will always have a very special place in my heart!
I remember when I was little, Uncle Guy and his family would come to Rock Falls each year on Rock Falls Days. Dave, Skip and I would go down to the carnival and spend money on rides and games. I only had so much money I could spend and when it was gone it was gone! I never asked for more, but Guy would always find me and give me extra money so I could stay and play! I often wondered if he did that for the boys???
When I think of Guy I always visualize him with a beer in one hand and standing by a Bar BQ grill cooking and eating ribs.
I remember him in my back yard one year in Tampico at a family reunion. He was cooking ribs, laughing and telling stories about the "girls"! I still can't figure out what he did best, cook ,eat, drink beer, or tell stories about the girls????
( The girls were his sisters)
Even though I did not get to see much of you I loved you Uncle Guy and you will be missed.I visualize you now setting around a table having a beer and sharing stories with old friends; no more suffering just good times.Tell that good friend of yours up there I miss him too and I hope to see you all again some day.
Love, Kari Rae

I remember the summer Guy, my brother, Lyle, and I spent at Grandma and Grandpa's farm. I was only about 6 or 7 and Guy was a year older. We didn't see too much of each other after that, but it is a fond memory.
I saw Guy and family at the reunion Jeannie had a few years ago and we did get re-acquainted.
I am very sorry for your loss but thankful Guy's suffering is over.

A niece living in Illinois, I rarely saw Uncle Guy but never doubted how special he was to all his siblings and family. He was a talented craftsman who never hesitated to share his skills. Your family and friends will miss you.

I will never forget the little things such as scratching Guy's back for a nickle and then making me wrestle for the nickle. Guy also bought me my first milkshake. He demonstrated in the middle of Dancy's Drug store how I would shake all over when I drank it. I love you Big Brother. You will always have a special place in my heart. Your sis, Karen

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

You will forever hold a very special place in our heart and our memories!
