James Renshaw Obituary

James Renshaw Jr.
James L. "Pappy" Renshaw Jr., age 59 of Louisville, loving husband, son, father, and grandfather, passed away Saturday August 30, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. Jim was born November 27, 1948 in New Martinsville, WV. He was a graduate of Louisville High School Class of 1966. Jim worked for the City of Louisville Street Department and Horger Plumbing before joining J & L Steel where he later retired from in 2002 following 34 years of service. He attended St. Louis and St. Paul's Catholic Church. He was a member of USWA Local #1046 and a former union recording secretary. In recent years, he worked part-time as a lawn care worker. Jim was a member of AARP, Louisville F.O.E. Aerie #2374 and a life time member of the North American Fishing Club. He was an avid Indians fan and supported the Ohio State Buckeyes, Mark Martin and NASCAR. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf, but more than anything he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jim is survived by his parents, Jim and Iva Lou Renshaw Sr.; his wife, Gloria (Mehalko) Renshaw; daughter and fiancée, Mary Beth Renshaw and J.R. Blair; two grandchildren, Taylor and Austin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy and Ron; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Linda; nieces and nephews, Samantha and Chad, Chase, Ali, Courtney, Macey, Trevor, Joe and wife, Liz; godmother, Gerry Wilder and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Leonard and Edna Mobberly and George and Della Renshaw; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Letty and Joe Mehalko; niece, Tabitha Mehalko; godfather, Bill Wilder; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services for James will be conducted Thursday at 12 p.m. in the Paquelet- Falk Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert officiating. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery. James's family will receive friends Thursday two hours prior to services at the funeral home.
