Jane Swingly Obituary
Jane Swingly, age 84, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2008 Franklin, In. She was a former longtime resident of Canton, Ohio. She was born on November 10, 1924 in Oak Hill, Ohio to Lewis Spurgeon and Chloe (Yates) Metzler. She married Jack D. Swingly on December 22, 1945. He lovingly survives. Surviving also are daughters, Sharon Swingly of Franklin and Robyn (John) Eley of Franklin; and five grandchildren; three brothers; and a sister. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy and a brother, Spurgeon Metzler, Jr. The funeral will take place on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wright Chapel at the Franklin United Methodist Community with calling from 12 p.m. to time of service Monday. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin United Methodist Community Benevolent Fund at 1070 W. Dear Sharon, Robyn and Jack: My thoughts are with you during this time. How I wish we were closer! Janet was one of the most precious woman I have ever know. Please know I am thinking of you all. There are so many thoughts and memories running through my mind right now. What a wonderful mother, wife and neighbor she was.
