Jerry Karman Obituary
Jerry Roy Karman, age 67 of Louisville passed away Monday, December 24, 2007.
He was born in Canton, Ohio, on July 18, 1940, to the late James and Caroline Karman. Jerry is survived by his daughters, Tina Davis (Stan) Richardson of Louisville and Angela Post of Canton; sons, Jerry Jr. (JoAnna) Karman of California and Kevin (Pam) Karman of Canton; grandchildren, Robert Davis, Kasey Karman, Kevin Karman II, Ricky and Brandon Post; and a host of brothers, sisters, family and friends. Funeral service will be on Sunday, December 30, 2007, at 4:00 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. The family will receive friends for TWO HOURS prior to the service from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to any First Merit Bank under Tina L. Davis Richardson to help with Jerry's funeral expenses. Those wishing to share their condolences or a fond memory may sign the Reed on-line guestbook at our website:

My Father-in-Law
I know this guy who is stubborn and such, that I love very, very much. I know that he has always loved me. I don't need him to say it, you see. Our love for each other is felt in our hearts so we know what we feel will never depart. I try to honor and respect him in all that I do and make him very proud of me, too. I've made many mistakes in the past, but this man's forgiveness is firm and fast. He has a kind and gentle heart. His loving guidance I felt from the start. No matter what he will always be, one the greatest men in the world to me.
I know he's human and has his share of flaws, but think about it after all, for what he taught us in the past are the things that will last and last. Then when our children are all grown, we can teach them the knowledge that we now own. For what dad taught us was his legacy, that we should be proud for the world to see.
I miss you so much and it hurts me to the core of me to see your oldest son mourn your passing. I wish I could go back and change that last hour with you. I pray that you are at peace and pray that the family finds the strength to make it through this terrible time.

Dear Dad, words can't convey how much you'll be missed. I know that it was just a week before you passed that I saw you last but still it wasn't enough. I remember waving to you through the fog covered storm door, not knowing that it would be my last glimpse of you. A permanent dark cloud has decended over me since you've left. I am so glad dad was here to see you and Stan get married. I
was glad Tom and I got to make it home for the wedding and Tom and I got to see dad in July. I was glad Tom got to meet dad. I told Tom that dad was a great and fun person. I was totally shocked to read about your Dad's passing. I hope you all know you were his life. He was very proud of each one of you. Although we were only married a short time, oh the stories about all of you. I know you are all hurting and I wish there were words to make it better, I lost my mom last year and there just aren't. Know that he is in a better place, know that he is preparing a place for each one of you, and always keep with you the loving memories and the great times, and he will never leave your hearts. We are so sorry to hear about your lose. Dad is free of pain now. Dad will be loved and miss by all who knew him and loved him. Dad will be one of the new angels looking down on everyone. I will always remember dad as a very happy
person who was always there when you needed someone to talk to. Dad always had a great smile and was alot of fun. My heart, love and prayers go out to each and everyone of you.

Dear Tina Stan & Family,
We are so sorry for your loss.
Jerry was a great dad. He will be missed and loved by all who knew him. I will always remember him and the great times we had when I had a surprise birthday party for him at my place in 2005 in Louisville, Oh. Jerry is in a much better place now and free of pain.
