Joe Martino Obituary
age 87 of Canton, passed away Sunday evening at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in San Nicola da Crissa, Italy to the late Nicola and Maria (Garisto) Martino, he was preceded in death by his brother, Pasquale Martino, and sisters, Catherine and Maria Theresa Martino. Joe was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran serving in the 3rd Armored Division. Joe loved his family, gardening and his cars.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Antonia (Merincola) Martino; children, Nick (Meg) Martino, John (Amy) Martino and their son Lu, Maria (Rob) Hannon and their children Gracie and Joseph.
There will be no calling hours. Family and friends may meet at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Benson Okpara celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Joe's name may be made to any area D.A.V. For those not able to attend the mass it will be live streamed at www.
