Joyce F. Gordon
Joyce F. Gordon, age 87, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007, at St. Luke Lutheran Home. Joyce was a life resident of Canton and retired from Aultman Hospital as a medical transcriptionist. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her daughter, Meg Reid; parents, James and Hattie Swain; twin sister, Joann; sister, Gretchen; and brothers, Donald, James and Roger. She is survived by her son, Dr. Bruce Gordon and wife, Sandy of Wisconsin; her daughter, Janet Hollaway and husband, Dave of North Canton; son-in-law, Steve Reid; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Joyce will be missed dearly for her kindness and great love for her family. The family would like to thank the staff of Laurel Valley at St. Luke Lutheran Home for the care and compassion they gave to Joyce. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 702 Raff Rd. SW, Canton, with Pastor Kenneth Scheck officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Susan G. Komen Foundation. Zion Lutheran Church, 330-477-6731.
