Judy A. Meek 1947-2018

Age 70 of Canton, passed away Sunday Sept. 9, 2018. She was born Nov. 18, 1947 in Canton, a daughter of the late William and Ruth (Hall) Fernandez, and her step-mother Glenna Fernandez, and was a life resident. Judy was a 1965 graduate of McKinley High School. She was retired from Stark County Job & Family Services after 25 years service, where she worked in the Emergency Assistance Department. Judy was a member of Greenwood Christian Church, the Canton Ex-Newsies Association, and was a volunteer at the Senior Support Agency.

Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Clifford H. Meek; a grandson, Alexander Kaplowitz; and a sister, Holly Litten. She is survived by four daughters, LaChelle (Julius Lettrich) Rininger, Dawn (Dave Mosher) Meek, Heather (Kevin) Lautzenheiser, and Becky Dyke; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Brittany Rininger (Amy Counts), Hunter Rininger (Phil Dannug), Dakota (Kaylie) Boughman and children, Tommy Moore and Colt Boughman, Meghan (Shawn) Ramey and children, Faith Petersen, Shawn Michael and Colton Ramey, and Marina Kaplowitz; two sisters, Brenda (Don) Newcomer, and Anna Mlaiki (Ron Atkinson); two brothers, Perry (Carol) Dadisman and Jim Dadisman; her special companion Penny; and many, many friends.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Amerine officiating. Interment will be in Warstler Cemetery.
