I have been so blessed to have known the Lathrop family since I was in Jr.High and as time went on, have considered them my 2nd family! I first met Kyle when he was living in Ohio with Nana and thanks to Tanner was able to develop a relationship that Kyle & I both considered to be a brother/sister relationship! Kyle would call begging me to bake him my chocolate chip cookies and send them to him in Ohio! Kyle made it very easy to fall in love with him & his warm personality! I always took it upon myself to take on the role as his Big Sister! I have so many wonderful memories not only with Kyle, but with the entire Lathrop family! The times I was able to spend with them will always stay close to my heart! I was always greeted with the biggest & warmest hugs whenever I would see Kyle and with him always begging me to marry Tanner so we could be "true" brother & sister! Words cannot describe the pain I feel knowing his precious life was cut short! I am so thankful to have met and developed such a special relationship with Kyle and I will forever be greatful! To have witnessed Mim & Janice be such amazing parents really does bring tears to my eyes! Kyle there is not one day that passes that I do not think of you! I dream of you often and know in my heart that you are in heaven and continue to live that life of yours to the fullest! The day will come again when I will share my chocolate chip cookies with you but until then you will continue to be a part of my precious memories! I love you Kyle just as I would love a brother and you rest in peace knowing that you made so many people proud! What an amazing man you turned out to be! Far from the little boy I met so many years ago! I love you so much Kyle & thank you for being YOU!
Love Always,
Mandy Garcia :)

I came to pick up Kyle one day and there was a package on your front step so I grabbed it to carry it in. Kyle met me outside and rolled his eyes and was like "another QVC package im sure. I swear my mom gets one of these everyday." i asked what she ordered from there and he replied "who knows, all kinds of crap." We spent that day together, and at one point we went to the gas station so I could get a vitamin water. I asked him if he wanted one and he insisted that he didn't but I got him one anyway. He waited in my car while I was in the gas station. When I got back in, he had every compartment in my car opened up and I said "whatcha doin there kyle?" he told me that my car was awesome because it had so many secret compartments, but that when he pulled the sun visor down, an air freshner fell on his head so he tucked it in my card holder that was covered up by the visor. A couple weeks ago I had a friend in my car, and she put the visor down. I looked over, and the air freshner Kyle had tucked in the card holder was still there. I think it will always be there. I loved Kyle very much and miss him dearly. I pray for your family every day, and love you all. And by the way, he totally drank the vitamin water.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
I am very sorry for your loss. I remember Kyle as the boy who would make faces and tease me in the swimming pool, but i also remember him as my brothers cute friend that i would write about in my diary when i was about 6. Once i grew up i knew Kyle as the handsome young, well raised Lathrop son. Thank you for sharing your son with the world, he will always remain here in our prayers, as well as the entire Lathrop family. God bless you, I love you all!!

*While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil. ~John
