Marjorie Tronge Obituary

Marjorie Jane Tronge
Died Jan. 18, 2014 of renal failure in Hospice Altercare Post Acute/Rehab in Brimfield, Ohio. Born Marjorie Jane Dyer in Rochester, Mich. in 1923 to Doris and Cleveland Dyer. As a child, Marjorie was a girlie girl loving arts and crafts and was surrounded by loving brothers and sisters, Jack, Bob, Dorothy, and Shirley. Marjorie and Donald Tronge (deceased) spent their young married life on farms In Michigan, New Jersey and Ohio, raising Black Angus cattle and Marj's beloved horse, Bobbin. Early in their marriage, Marjorie had two ornery, identical twin boys who constantly tried to fool her as to who was whom!
She is survived by her sons, Don and Dan, and many grand and great-grandchildren, Donald Tronge, wife, Judith Hillman Tronge (deceased) granddaughter, Laura Tronge; grandson, Donald Tronge, wife, Angie (Cheung) Tronge; and great-grandchildren, Jarrett and Nyah; grandson, Bryan Tronge, wife, Leslie (Fry) Tronge; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lyla, and Rylan. Daniel Tronge, wife, Gloria (Gambaccini) Tronge; Granddaughter, Wendy (Tronge) Holliday, husband, Tom Holliday and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joseph; grandson, Doug Tronge, wife Robin (Patterson) Tronge and great-grandchildren, Jake, Layne, Hayden and Leah. Donald and Marjorie were faithful parishioners of Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church in North Lawrence, Ohio where she had many friends and enjoyed the weekly quilting gatherings. Donald and Marjorie retired in mid 80's and spent many years traveling the country; she spoke often of Mexico and her love of the American Southwest. Marj's love of art continued into her adult life where she was an accomplished artist- primarily using oil paints. She shared her love of art by teaching her grandchildren to paint and saying 'the best thing about paint is that you can never make a mistake, just let it dry and start again'. Words to live by. The past six years, Marj lived like a college girl at Four Seasons Apartments in Kent, Ohio; decorating her apartment door and hallway, enjoying time with new friends and participating in the many activities in the community room. She especially enjoyed the monthly birthday gatherings, Round-2-It Fridays and the many fun events like the spa day.
Funeral Services will be held FRIDAY, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at The Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church, 14411 Orrville Street, North Lawrence with Pastor Ignatius David officiating and where friends may call FRIDAY from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Burial in Newmans Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church in North Lawrence Ohio or United Methodist Church of Kent, Ohio.
