Dear Family...
My deepest sympathies to you all. Losing a caring and vibrant person like Uncle Mark leaves a very big empty space in your lives, in all the lives that he touched. And touch many he did. I will always remember his big laugh and brightly smiling face as he told jokes and pulled your leg at the same time! Then regaled you with the books he had just read...voraciously! I will miss him.
Love Louise

My heart goes out to the Moots family in the loss of your beloved father and grandfather. My earliest memories of Uncle Mark begin with him coming to the house with his doctor's bag ready to fix any ailment we might have had. Our family has always appreciated his dedication to us. His inquisitive, clinical mind was God's gift, and his personal gift was a kind heart and gentle ways.
Peace, Chris, LeeAnn Devore and family

My deepest sympathy to the entire Moots family. Mark and my Father, Bob Kampfer were great friends, both from serving NCH on the Board and playing golf at Imperial. He was a great man and loved by many. He and my Father are playing golf in heaven now. My prayers are with you for peace during this most difficult time.

Dear Cousins,

We are so sorry for the loss of your father. We have such great memories of being with Uncle Mark. My parents, brothers, sisters and I are all very grateful for the kindness and generosity that was extended to us and our children throughout the years. We always enjoyed our visits with Uncle Mark in Florida and treasure the many stories that he shared with us. Uncle Mark was a beautiful person with high integrity and was also a great role model.

Second Reading
A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Romans
(Romans 5:12-15)

Brothers and sisters: Through one man sin entered the world, and through sin, death and thus death came to all men, inasmuch as all sinned – for up to the time of the law, sin was in the world, though sin is not accounted when there is no law. But death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not sin after the pattern of the trespass of Adam, who is the type of the one who was to come.

But the gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, how much more did the grace of God and the gracious gift of the one man Jesus Christ overflow for the many.

The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
