Michael René Overholt, 45, of Alliance, Ohio, died at 2:30 Monday morning, August 13, 2007, at Alliance Hospital. Born August 16, 1961, in Canton, Ohio, son of Victor and the late Emma Mae (Raber) Overholt, Michael was a member of God's church in heaven for special people. Michael spent the last three years in and out of Alliance Hospital, where he was lovingly cared for by many fine nurses, doctors, and friends.
His is survived by his parents, Victor and Judy Overholt; and four brothers and six sisters, Ruth (Johnny) Miller of Minerva, Ohio; Fred (Bernadine) Overholt of East Rochester, Ohio; Vera Overholt of Minerva; Leon (Ida Mae) Overholt of Taylorsville, N.C.; Lena (Olen) Yoder of Minerva; JoAnn (Christopher) Inhulsen of Montezuma, GA; Delilah (Lonnie) Beachy of Plain City, Ohio; Judy (David) Miller of Minerva; David (Wilma) Overholt of Minerva; and Dwayne (Kathy) Overholt of Salisbury, PA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma, who lovingly cared for him for many years. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Anthony James Overholt, and a great nephew, Elijah ben Matthew Miller. He will be missed by all his special friends at Rockhill in Alliance, Ohio, where he lived for the last five years. His nieces and nephews have many fond memories of playing with Michael and helping to care for him. He will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, in the Minerva Christian Fellowship Church, with Joel Gingerich officiating and Eldon Falb and Lonnie Beachy assisting. Burial will follow in Minerva Christian Fellowship Cemetery. Calling hours will Be held Tuesday (today) 5-8 P.M. in the church. Arrangements are by GotschallHutchison Funeral Home, Minerva. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice Association.
