Dear Lyndia,
My Mom mentioned that your Dad passed away. I'm so sorry for your loss. I liked him ... alot. I remember that his book collection filled multiple walls in your living room. And I remember that your Dad and my Dad were friends since high school. Please know that I treasure his memory.

Dear Pat,
We were so sorry to hear of your father. We know how close you were with him and that he will be greatly missed. He was always so supportive and helpful, coming to school to help you. I'm glad I got to meet him. I'll keep you in my prayers.
