Not sure what to say?

John Carlin

I had the privilege to play tennis for Mr. Myser at Lehman High School in 1975 and 1976. He was a fantastic coach and outstanding person. I fondly remember our away matches to Ashtabula, Columbus and staying at Doug and Terry's fraternity at Wittenberg. I have many happy memories of times spent at their 25th Street house with Doug, Terry and Carole Anne. We played a lot of ping-pong in the basement and ate a lot of Mrs. Myser's delicious chocolate chip cookies. Mr. Myser treated all of his players like his own children and always made us feel very special. I always looked forward to visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Myser when I traveled to Canton. The Carlin family admires and loves the Myser family and we are thinking about you at this very difficult time. Thank you, Mr. Myser, for being my teacher, coach, role-model and friend.

Mrs.Myser, Please accept my deepest sympathy. Your husband will always be Mr. Myser to me, my 7th grade teacher at Summit.1952-53. It was his first year of teaching, if I remember right. He was so good to us & convinced the principal for us to start a girl's basketball team. He took us to the park to play ball & spent many hours of his own time with us. I will always remember him.

My heart goes out to Alice. You were always like a mother to me. I have so much respect for you and Coach. It was because of Dick that I went into teaching. I have always tried to emulate the respect he showed for everyone. You both have touched my life greatly. To Doug - some of my fondest memories in high school were our adventures with the tennis team. Your dad really helped all of us to become responsible adults. I was so fortunate to have you as a friend and your dad as a mentor. I just wanted to let you, your mom and Terry that I was thinking about you. Jim Duzan
