Robert Leed Obituary

Dr. Robert H. Leed
Dr. Robert H. Leed, age 92, of North Canton, died Tuesday morning in St. Luke Lutheran Community. Born in Canton to the late William H. and Myrtle (Harman) Leed he was a 1935 graduate of North Canton High School and received his Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was retired from Blue Crass Animal Hospital which he founded in 1949 and is now owned by his son. Dr. Leed was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of N. Canton, Oakwood Country Club, former member of the Lion's Club, and had served on the Stark County Board of Health. His professional associations included the Academy of Veterinary Medicine of Stark County and the Ohio Veterinarian Medical Association. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Helen of 56 years in 1997. Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Richard (Marcia) Grant of Santa Rosa, CA and Mrs. Jeff (Laurie) Gwynne of Wellington, FL. Two sons: Garry R. (Jeanne) Leed and William H. (Peggy) Leed, DVM both of North Canton. Ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. brother, Ted (Doris) Leed of Nokomis, FL. Funeral service will be Saturday 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Pastor Mark Sherwindt officiating. Interment will be in North Canton Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Stark County 5100 Peach St., N.E.
