Roger Crisp Obituary
age 78, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sept. 7, 2013. He was born Aug. 25, 1935 in Canton, Ohio to the late Donald and Rosemary Crisp. He graduated from Lincoln High School and served two years in the US Army as a marksman. Roger was President of Deluxe Motor Freight and enjoyed playing tennis and golf. He also enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels and doing his "paper route", collecting newspapers at the Canton Regency for the recycling drive at St. Michael Catholic Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom Reel.
He is survived by his loving family, wife, Vicki; a daughter, Diane (Bruce) Ohman; two sons, Don (Wendy) Crisp and Roger Crisp, Jr.; three grandchildren, Drew Ohman, Veronica and Annie Crisp; two sisters, Norma Reel of Milan, Ohio, Donna (Bob) Holtzman of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a brother, Darryl Crisp' as well as many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the compassionate, caring nurses and staff at Legends Care Center and Crossroads Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Robert Lanterman, Celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Living Bread Radio, 4365 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44718. Those wishing can view this obituary, sign the online guest book or share fond memories at

VeeVee, Butchy, Diane And Roger there is nothing that anyone can say to you , that will ease the pain . Time heals all wounds. Someon at my moms funeral told me that and it's so true. Rick and I have a special memory of Uncle Roger and that's at Bam's wedding. He had so much fun, especially when he pulled me onto the dance floor and swung me around like a rag doll. I was laughing so hard. That's how we are going to remember him. Love to all of you

Dear Vickie and Family,
You are in my prayers and you have my deepest sympathy. I enjoyed working with Roger during the Deluxe Motor Frieght days and thereafter as my client at Swallen, Lawhun & Co. CPA's. In later years when I was preparing his tax returns, we always had a nice chat and got each other up to date on what went on in our lives the prior year. Roger was a very intelligent man who loved his family and church and enjoyed playing tennis.Roger will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
