Sandra Thomas Obituary
Sandi Thomas, 62, passed away Oct. 8, 2011 at Rose Lane Health Center in Massillon. Born in Akron on April 24, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Harold and Garnet Thomas. Sandi was proud to be an LPN for the Veteran's Hospital, was a member of Legacy Church, enjoyed doing needle work and sharing it with others and in general loved making other people happy.
She is survived by her sister Ginnie (Joe) Humphries of Union, Ky. and cousin Ron (Ginger) Smith.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, 11 a.m., at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt 93) Canal Fulton. Calling Hours Tuesday 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any local animal shelter or VNS Hospice. www.swigarteasterlingfuneralhome.com

I had the pleasure of meeting Sandy several years ago at Roselane. She showed all of us what it means to "live". She was such a fighter and also had a heart of gold. She was a very special woman with a special sister who also showed what family really mean. May God bless you all and give you peace during this loss. And may your memories keep her close forever.

I only knew Sandra a few months, but know she was such a strong, independent and inspiring woman. Her fight with MS for over 30 years says so much about her. I am thankful I had the priviledge of caring for and knowing her.
