Terry Danner Obituary

Terry Lee Danner
On Thanksgiving Day, Terry, 59, went with the angels so adored while being held by her devoted husband of 35 years, and attended to by her family. Born on July 23, 1955 she was an amazing example of courage during her uncompromising three year fight to survive cancer. She was an immaculate dresser and her professionalism and dedication will be missed by her Spectrum Orthopaedics Family where she was employed for forty-one years.
Her family will miss her quick smile and shopping mischief with her siblings.
Preceded in death by her parents, James and Ellen Higgins; and her sister, Tammy Saler. She is survived by her husband, John Danner; brothers, Charles Saler, Randy (Renee) Saler; sisters, Judy Hoover, Cathy (Daniel) Hussar, Vicky Saler, Sandy (Dale) Taylor; brother-in-law, Thomas Danner; and sister-in-law, Janice (David) Zurinsky; nephews and nieces, Robert and David Evans, Daniel and Richard Hussar, Tracy Miller, Jill Nemeth, Jordan Robinson, Charles and Harrison Saler, Ryan and Audrey Saler, and Joe Schulz.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Aultman Compassionate Care, the close Danner circle of friends, and Doctors Trehan, Podugu, Seth, Riester, and Candage. The family also wishes to extend its thanks to Chief Bruce Lawver, the Operators of Canton Regional SWAT and Terry's personal songstress, Michelle Jeffries.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Monday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow on Tuesday at North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio 44708.

Just last Christmas Terry spear-headed a drive to collect items for the residents in our YWCA Emergency Homeless Shelter along with sister Vicky. We were blessed with the an abundance of wonderful gifts thanks to Terry and her Spectrum Family, but more so, we were blessed by the generosity and warmth of her spirit. With deepest sympathy to Vicky and the whole family on the loss of someone who touched so many lives.

It was my privilege to work with Terry at Spectrum Ortho for many years. Patient and doctor alike, she cared for us all, protected us all, and kept us all pointed in the right direction. Spectrum will never be the same. Much more than a co-worker, Terry was a Friend, who left an indelible imprint on all of our hearts. She will be forever remembered. Raymond Candage M.D.

My Dearest Sister..I will never forget our times we had together. How you always left a big impression on my life.We had always looked forward going to Zoar spending so much time in the little shops.I will never forget you..and I will always love you. You're now in peace...my dear sister. The last week that we were all together..I will hold dear to my heart.I know you had to hear about memories..the music you liked. Not too long ago..you gave me a note and gave me a snowman..that held a bubble light.I have it lit right now...at night..it looks like a star.I think of you.I think of you being that star.I will truly miss you and you will always be in my heart..I wish you peace now my Dear sister..cathy

To the Danner Family,
I'm sure you already know how much this special & wonderful woman will be missed & how many people she has touched.
I will never forget her positive attributes she has shown each of us through her battle.
If I had to describe Terry in one word, it would have to be, CLASSY. Classy means; Integrity, honest, trustworthy, dependable, reliable, beauty inside & out with a wonderful smile, and much, much more...
May your wings take you on your new journey.
May each of you find comfort in this time of need.

I will miss Terry very much, her smile, her courage-she was such an inspiration everyday she came into work, always looking so fabulous. I miss our talks and discussions in her office- mostly about Downton Abbey-one of her favorite shows, and others on PBS. She would light up every time we talked about a good Masterpiece Classic, and I will always always think of her and remember her. My prayers go out to her entire family.
