Prayers will be 9:30 A.M. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman followed by a mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m at Saint Christine Church in Youngstown for Thomas "Ty" M. Nally , 100 of Massillon formerly of Youngstown who passed away peacefully Friday evening. Ty was born March 12, 1909 in Youngstown a son of Michael J. & Julia A. Vahey Nally, who were Irish immigrants . He attended St. Patrick's School , and South High School both in Youngstown. He first worked as a soda jerk at the originial Isaly's . then he worked at Republic Steel retiring as a foreman in 1970. He was a member of the church. ,Mill Creek Senior Golf League, Rolling Hills Golf League where the members called themselves " the PTA" .. Ty was also a member of the Glen Crest Lodge Mem's Club, and he had two hole in ones after the age of 70.. His wife the former Gertrude L. Kennedy, whom he married Nov 28, 1933 , died June 30, 1991. He Leaves to cherish his memory a daughter Katherine Ann (James) Gorman of Canfield, two sons Thomas M. (Kathleen) Nally of Massillon, Daniel J. (Mary) Nally of Warrenton, Virginia., a brother Joseph V (Marge). Nally of Austintown, two sisters Rita Casey, of Minnesota, Patricia Brown of Boardman. Tweleve grandchildren. James (Maureen) Gorman, Katherine (Lee) Stoneburner, Thomas (Cora) Nally, Joan Nally, Patrick (Meredith) Gorman, Mary Pat Nally, John Nally, Brian Nally, Shannon Nally, Dr. Reagan Nally, Kevin Nally and Daniel Nally. And seven great grandchildren. Besides his wife Ty is preceded in death by a brothers John & Edward, and sisters Julia, Mary and Kathleen and a grand daughter Mary Kathleen Nally. Friends may call 5 to 8 Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
