Vincent DeLillo Obituary
J. DeLillo
age 74, went to be in the arms of God and his Mom and Dad on Sept. 15, 2011. Born on Sept. 7, 1937 in Canton, he is preceded in death by his mother Margaret DeLillo-Ciraulo and his father John DeLillo, his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Ruth; his sister and brother-in-law Anna and Mel Erbland. He is also survived by his 'brother' Lawrence 'Pipe' Pipero and his wife Jackie. He was most proud of his children, Margaret DeLillo-Storey and her husband Duane, Patricia DeLillo and her husband Steve Cox, Christina Lagodich and her husband Mike, Angela Danler and her husband Danny all of Canton, John DeLillo and his wife Marie of Massillon and his beloved dog Bella. His pride and joy were his nine grandchildren, Ashley Burroughs, Samantha Wohlheter, Andrea Bigler, Logan Lagodich, Nicholas Storey, Frank Lagodich, Courtney Storey, Jack Danler, Andi Danler and one great- grandchild, Kallena Burroughs. He was a baker by trade for 60 years. He owned People's Bakery in Canton and then retired from Fisher's Bakery in 1999. He was a past president of the Greater Canton Bowling Association and is the president of the Senior Bowling League. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. He was inducted into the Greater Canton Fumble Ball Association Hall of Fame and Greater Canton Bowling Association Hall of Fame. His favorite things to do were spend time with his family and take short trips with his wife. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. William Kraynak celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

jim it is almost 2 years since you left this world. today is May 7, 2013 and I am having a very bad day without you. I had surgery almost three weeks ago and you were not here to help me. I hope you are watching over all of us. Please help our children in their trials on this earth. Some are so troubled and they miss you so much. I love you and miss you every day. Andi is here with me tonight, Jack has a ballgame. He is playing catcher position,but you already know that. Nicky and Courtney are both busy with their sports respectively. Courtney is going to Tennesse for a beauty pageant in July. Sammie passed a nursing assistant test on the first try. I am very happy for her. She seems to be interested in nursing. Hi Dad
Happy Easter. I miss you so much. Not a day goes by that I dont think about you. Especially at 8:30 am. It has been very difficult without you here. We are all managing but, it seems so surreal that you are not with us. The kids are well and they miss you greatly. Mom prepared a great meal for today and we will all be together. PopPop! I love you so much.. There is really no PopPop in the world who could ever replace you. You led a great life, gave me the best aunts and uncle, and you were always there for us grandchildren. You always put family before anything else in your life, and that's why I love you so much. You treated me so well through the fourteen years I got to spend with you. I always loved when Nick, Courtney, Logan, and I would spend the night at your house and we would always have so much fun with you. I remember when you would take us across the street to Deals and buy us each a toy. I remember you taking us to the pumpkin patch every year when we were little. I remember you always falling asleep during holiday parties. But my last real memory of you was when school was over and I was supposed to take the bus, but I didn't remember my bus number. Since you were right next door to the school, I called you, and you came over as fast as you could to take me back home safely. That is the kind, helpful, loving PopPop I will always remember.. I love you so much, I think about you every day, and you will always have a special place in my heart.

Three weeks ago today, you started your journey to Heaven (I know you are there). The Good Lord evidently felt like your work is done here and needs to be done there now. Death of a loved one is one of life’s difficult moments faced with strong emotions.
Time shared with others, Time shared alone, time shared with precious memories, unspoken words and silent tears. This time with Jim.
Jim was forthright in word and deed. I knew him as a childhood friend growing up in Canton on 13th/14th street S.E. section. I knew Jim as a bowler, knew him during my tenure as a GCBA Board Member, where Jim served as a leader, motivator and as President. Jim was a strong force in the organization. His guidance will be missed.
