Wilbur Lingenhoel Obituary
age 88, of Louisville, Ohio passed away Friday, May 25, 2018. He was born March 9, 1930 in Canton, Ohio. Wilbur was a 1948 graduate of Canton South High School. He was a retired dairy farmer and a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Farm Bureau and he was the Soil and Water Conservation Director for 12 years. Wilbur had a passion for Faith, Family, Friends, Farming and Flying.
Wilbur is survived by his wife of 69 years, Janice (Cairns) Lingenhoel, a daughter, Diana (Rodney) Lashley, a son, Dean (Debbie) Lingenhoel, sister, Yvonne (Ray) Lautzenheiser, brother, Frank (Karen) Lingenhoel, two grandchildren, Lynne Ann Lashley and Mathew Lee Lashley. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Lingenhoel and his mother, Mary Lingenhoel-Kersteter.
Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday morning (May 31) at Christ United Methodist Church in Louisville with Rev Dr. Larry Hinkle officiating. Calling hours will be 6-8 pm Wednesday evening at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial, with military honors, will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 600 E. Gorgas St, Louisville, OH 44641 or Stark Public Special Olympics c/o Randi Buhecker, 1206 South Locust St, Canal Fulton, OH 44614. Online condolences may be left at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com

Wilbur was one of my favorite people to bail
hay for. He worked you hard, but he was always fair to you, and always showed his appreciation for the hard work. My thoughts and sympathies go to the family, and to Matt who will miss riding in the tractors with his Grandpa.

Sorry that I can not be there to honor the life of my Uncle Wilbur. I learned a lot life lesson while helping out with farm work as a teenage. He knew what it meant to work hard and enjoy it.
