I had the pleasure of living in one of the first homes built in Kettering. In the late 70s, my older brother and I worked for Mr. Turner´s company, MCD, under the supervision of Mr. Carpenter. My wife and family now live in a home in Olney built by Mr. Turner. He was a good man who truly cared about the communities he built and the people who would live in them. In the late 60´s, he donated the fields to the Kettering community, where I and my friends would spend our childhoods playing ball. Rest In Peace, Mr. Turner!
Respectfully,

My family has known Mr and Mrs Turner for many years. My grandmother used to speak of times when she and my grandfather would go dancing with Mr and Mrs Turner. My parents bought their first house in Carrollton (now New Carrollton) in 1958 and still live there. New Carrollton was a wonderful place to grow up. Thank you Mr Turner!

Rest in peace Mr Turner. I feel so grateful to have grown up in one of your communities. And to have a hospital so close to New Carrollton has been a blessing. I am happy that the City continues your legacy of a beautiful place to live. When I found out that he also developed part of Olney I wasn't surprised. I was drawn to the same sense of community that I had growing up and wanted my kids to have the same experience. A life well lived. Something to aspire to.

Mr. Turner is a wonderful person I would have loved meeting, and shared time, and marvel from his experience and wisdom. The world loves you Mr. Turner, you made a wide deep path coming through. Go with God, and peace be with your Family and friends. Jack Wagner, Pasadena, Md.
