Catherine Owings Obituary

Catherine Cecelia Owings, 91, of Linthicum, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Tuesday, December 29th 2020. She was born in Maryland to Catherine and Robert Flint on July, 22nd 1929. She was a graduate of Glen Burnie High School, and went on to work for St. Agnes Hospital as a telephone operator. Catherine loved going dancing and was involved in various social and dance clubs, she also enjoyed going on cruises and traveling. Catherine was a devoted member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Linthicum. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Catherine is predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Owings, her son, Stephen Michael Owings, and daughter, Dawn Marie van Rossum. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie K. Heird (Mark), granddaughters, Katherine Villamar, Stephanie Cole, her grandsons, Samuel Heird, Chobie van Rossum, and C.J. Owings, and her great granddaughters, Lucia and Violet Villamar. All funeral services are private. The family request that in lieu of flowers to select a charity of choice in honor of Catherine's name.

We have stayed in touch with Catherine over the years and she will be missed by all. our prayers are with the family a this most difficult time.i have been trying to get in touch with her over the holiday's and now I know why I could not reach her. God bless.
