Christopher Kirby

Christopher V. Kirby, 64, a resident of Pasadena for most of his life, died July 26 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
He was born September 28, 1947, in Baltimore, to the late Clarence V. and Margaret Kirby. Mr. Kirby graduated from Glen Burnie High School in the mid-1960s. He was a member of the U.S. Army and served two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Kirby worked for the U.S. Postal service in Glen Burnie, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of St. Jane Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #40, the VFW, and former president of Local 4422 of the NALC.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Roland Kirby; sister, Barbara Harriss; and granddaughter, Faith Franz.
Mr. Kirby is survived by his wife of 36 years, Michaela M. Kirby; two daughters, Paula Kirby of Pasadena and Sarah Kirby of Crofton; brother, Patrick Kirby of Stevensville; sister, Angela Rossi of Grasonville; and two grandchildren, Mikaela and A.J. Franz.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 29 at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org/support or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org/involved/donate/donateonlinenow/index.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have many, many fond memories of Chris, Pat, Patty, Cindy, and Mary in the old days. Chris was so much fun and kept us laughing all the time.
