Family and friends were Doris' passion and delight. Doris grew up in Baltimore and Aberdeen, MD with her five older brothers and many life long friends. Doris married Stuart H. Clarke in 1945 and they had two children, Stuart H. Clarke, Jr. and Deborah Clarke Belichick. Stuart married Barbara Klingberg in 1986 and provided Doris two grandchildren, Sarah and Anna to love. Debby married Bill Belichick in 1977 and provided Doris three grandchildren, Amanda, Stephen and Brian to love .
Doris and Stuart lived and traveled throughout the United States raising their family, making a living and having fun. They lived in Connecticut, Maryland, Alabama and Texas and traveled to 32 other states to visit friends and relatives. Doris always considered Annapolis, MD home and she lived there for 35 years before moving to Bainbridge Island, WA to be near her son Stuart. Doris' family are following her tradition of seeing the world as we all live in different parts of the United states and have vacationed around the world visiting Japan, Brazil, Africa and Europe. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Doris during her last illness. Doris liked to end her visits with family and friends by saying "I love you". Doris, we all love you too. And we will miss you.
Doris requested a private funeral and burial. The service and burial will be held on Nantucket Island, MA later this year. Please sign the online Guest Book at: www.cookfamilyfuneralhome.com.

I have many fond memories of Mrs. Clarke. When she lived in Eastport, she arranged for me to rent the apt across from her and was my neighbor for ten lovely years. I was the "young kid" in the building and she always looked out for me. She will be sorely missed.
